Meet: Justice, Owner of Bohdii Boutique
What better way to celebrate Women’s Equality Day than to give a shout-out to Justice Pellegrino, owner of Bohdii Boutique in South Boston? Bohdii Boutique is a trendy one-stop-shop for all outfits, from day wear to evening attire. Ever since Justice was a little girl walking around in high-heels, she has dreamt of owning a boutique that makes clothing affordable and fashionable for all ages.
A graduate of University of Massachusetts Amherst, Justice learned the ropes of buying, selling, and retail floor managment while working at a local shop in college.
In 2019, her dreams came true when she opened up her first brick-and-mortar in Western Massachusetts. After spending time visiting her sister in South Boston, dining at local restaurants on West Broadway, and stopping in the many shops, Justice knew South Boston would be the perfect spot for her next store. A few years later, in 2021, Justice opened the Bohdii Boston location in Southie. “Everyone was great and really welcoming… always getting you involved in something,” Justice says with a smile about the South Boston community. Whether it’s the Southie Street Fest or the South Boston Holiday Stroll, she mentions that there are always opportunities to connect with the other businesses in the neighborhood.
Now, lovingly welcomed by her neighbors on West Broadway, Bohdii is thriving with a staff of 22 amazing women. Justice is always trying to help and collaborate with other women-owned businesses (GIRL POWER!) by hosting pop-up events at her store locations. “When they can come in and get customers from us, it’s a great feeling.”
